The square in Varberg

Varberg has one of Sweden's largest squares and in our unique paved center you easily stroll between the shopping streets with everything within easy walking distance. In the streets around the square there are cafes, restaurants and pubs for the hungry and thirsty. During the summer months, the population of Varberg doubles and the temperature rises. On a sunny day, you make the best purchases in the cool morning. Maybe some fresh strawberries for breakfast or to take to the beach. In the summer, full speed in the square is already early in the morning. The grocery stores show up every Wednesday and Saturday all year round. Varberg is a locality and the seat of Varberg Municipality, Halland County, Sweden with 27,602 inhabitants in 2010. Varberg and all of Halland are well known for their "typical west coast" sandy beaches.
