Vorarlberg Lines Bodenseeschifffahrt is the Austrian shipping company on Lake Constance, with its home port in Bregenz, and as a member of the "United Shipping Companies for Lake Constance and the Rhine" takes on the scheduled traffic on the German shore of Lake Constance. Bregenz is an Austrian city at the eastern end of Lake Constance (Bodensee). It is the capital of the state of Vorarlberg. The annual Bregenz Festival is a major event, with opera and music performances at the lakeside floating stage known as the Seebühne and the glass-front Festspielhaus. The baroque St. Martin’s Tower is topped by a huge wooden dome. It houses a history museum and offers sweeping views.
