Leaving the city of Las Palmas to the south. La Laja, a beautiful semi-urban beach with fine black sand. This beautiful beach of fine black sand is located at the exit and entrance of Las Palmas De Gran Canaria heading south, next to the GC1. Resting place at sunset for the seagulls that year after year say goodbye to the sun from their fine sands. With a length of more than one kilometer and a width of about 30 meters. A very quiet place since it is not a very busy beach due to its strong waves, ideal for surfing and bodyboarding, it has a large parking lot and easy access, with a maritime avenue that connects a large part of the capital.

Las Palmas is a capital of Gran Canaria, one of Spain's Canary Islands off northwestern Africa. A major cruise-ship port, the city is known for duty-free shopping and for its sandy beaches. At Playa de Las Canteras, a coral barrier lines the beach and shelters swimmers. The annual Las Palmas de Gran Canaria carnival brings together flamboyantly costumed performers, music and dancing.

The Canary Islands, a Spanish archipelago off the coast of northwestern Africa, are rugged volcanic isles known for their black- and white-sand beaches. Tenerife, the largest island, is dominated by the sometimes-snowy active volcano Mt. Teide, which has its own astronomical observatory and is part of Teide National Park. Tenerife hosts a huge pre-Lent Carnival in the capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
