Las Rocas Resort and Dive Center

Set on a cliff overlooking West Bay Beach, this laid-back resort is a 13-minute walk from the animal sanctuary and botanical gardens at Gumbalimba Park. Low-key bungalows offer Wi-Fi, minifridges and air conditioning, plus terraces with hammocks. Upgraded quarters add ocean views, sitting areas and/or flat-screen TVs. A breakfast buffet, airport transfers and parking are free. A waterfront restaurant/bar with a terrace serves Italian-influenced cuisine. There's also a dive center and a plunge pool with a sundeck.

Roatán is an island in the Caribbean, about 65 kilometres off the northern coast of Honduras. It is located between the islands of Útila and Guanaja, and is the largest of the Bay Islands of Honduras. The island was formerly known in English as Ruatan and Rattan.
