Argun Mosque was built in Argun City, Caucasus Chechen Sovereign Republic is within the boundaries of Russian Federation. The mosque's roject studies and construction works were started in 2010 and then in 2014, the project was completed. Total capacity of the mosque for worshiping is 7000 - person.
Argun, also known as Ustrada is a town in the Chechen Republic, Russia, located on the Argun River. Population: 29,525; 25,698; 25,491; 22,000. In April 2017 the independent Russian newspaper Novaya Gazeta documented that Chechen authorities had set up so-called "gay concentration camps", within the town.
