Dachstein-Krippenstein cable car Krippenstein hiking trail With the Dachstein cable cars you can easily reach the wonderful, wild and romantic Dachstein high plateau. The first section (to the Schönbergalm) leads to the world-famous giant ice cave and to the mammoth cave (each 15 minutes walk to the entrance). You can visit the cave museum there for free. The newly designed Schönberg panoramic restaurant invites you to eat and drink. The second section takes you to the Krippenstein. The comfortable and safe "Heilbronner Rundwanderweg" (approx. 3 hours) leads you to the imposing Dachstein plateau.
